. >> well thank you very much for the update. a state trooper is recovering after being hit by a motorcyclist as the patriots game let out. that motorcyclist also taken to the hospital. >> reporter: that trooper has serious but non-life-threatening injuries. that motorcyclist also taken to the hospital. police say as soon as he's well enough he will face charges. this is the motorcycle sta helping direct traffic after the patriots game at gillette stadium. >> there was an ambulance that showed up and you could see on the other side there was an officer down. and apparently he got struck by the motorcycle. >> reporter: police say they tried to stop the operator rodriguez near the main entrance after the game but they say the 25-year old took off the wrong way downtown route 1 driving

another trooper tried to stop him. police say that trooper was hit. he was taken to boston medical center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. the motorcyclist is also being treated. >> the officers were working on him checking to see if he was all right and it looked like when -- once they found out he was already he actually -- the officers looked like they sat him up and prepared to bring him into custody. r center and injuries are unknown but police say as soon as he's well enough he will face criminal charges. the name of the trooper is not being released at this time and no word yet on what charges that motorcyclist will face. . 2 people headed to court today after a large drug bust in lowell. debts searched a home on 2 cross street on saturday. they found heroin and cocaine and cash inside. police say

the ages of 2 and 15 in the apartment with the drugs. they arrested 2 people. both men are facing several charges including trafficking heroin and cocaine in a school zone. one of the men charged with killing 2 brothers is due in court today kevin and shawn vargas were found shot inside a home. the grand jury there found there was enough evidence to charge both suspects murder. 26-year old cox is due in court today. lander will be in court at a later date. donald trump making campaign stops in virginia and colorado after a new york times report on one of his old tax returns. the times says donald trump may have avoided paying income taxes for 2 decades after he reported losing more than $915 million on his tax return back in 1995. that was after several of his businesses went bankrupt.

in the blink of an eye. >> seeing the vehicle on its roof right there all mangled. >> it's unclear if speed was a factor as police are still investigating this crash. new details this morning about the deadly train trash in new jersey. investigators say one of the train's data recorders was not working at the time of the accident. officials say they're hopeful a second recorder is functioning you but crews haven't been able to get to it because the roof of the station is not structurally sound. the engin going just 10 miles per hour when it approached the station thursday morning and says he has no memory of the crash. one person was killed more than 100 others injured in the accident. the town of linfield is looking to get tougher on housing rentals. officials want to ban short-term rentals that don't have a permit from the zoning board. it comes after a deadly shooting at a home that was being represented out.
